The story behind the lens
Photography has been part of the picture since our founder first picked up a simple “mik-en-druk” camera as a child. He photographed sunrises, sunsets and the world around him, always looking for something interesting to capture.
That early fascination gradually developed into a profession. He learned from established South African photographers and volunteered to assist on photoshoots, gaining experience behind the lens. Those opportunities helped shape his approach and sparked a commitment to keep learning as photography evolved.
How Majestic Studios came into focus
Majestic Studios was established in 1997 and began operating from the study of a family home on the East Rand. The business grew through the support of loyal clients and the relationships formed along the way.
Almost 30 years later, we work with families, schools and businesses, approaching each assignment with care. We take the time to understand what the client would like to capture and how the images will be used.
Our personalised photographic products offer another way to keep favourite images close or share them with someone special. Clients can have their photographs printed on a selection of gifts and keepsakes, including mugs, mouse pads, keyrings, bags, lunch tins and cake tins.
